Our client, a major international group, is looking for an International HSE Manager on a permanent contract, based at La Défense, near Paris.
Working within the Worldwide QHSE Department and reporting directly to the Worldwide HSSE and CSR Vice-President, you will be responsible for designing and developing the Group’s safety and risk prevention policy worldwide.
Assisted by a communication and marketing team and a communication agency, you will develop a communications strategy based on the Group’s expectations in terms of risk prevention and safety.
You will develop, in English, the safety programmes to be rolled out worldwide, including policies and procedures, training, auditing and inspections, as well as investigations and incident reporting.
Main Accountabilities:
You will participate to the sustainability at group level of the programs leading to the constant reduction of serious injuries as well as the support to the OG´s on their strategies to incident reduction. To this end, you need to have strategic thinking and ability to execute initiatives in a multicultural environment and in a company with a large diversity of business lines. To that effect, strong impact and leadership on the following programs is crucial:
-Training: development of engaging and innovative Safety training contents. Participate on the execution and delivery of in-person training packages
-Auditing and inspections: Improvement of the internal audit process, by enhancing the tool, the reporting system (Nexus); the training of the internal auditors and the participation on the internal audit program as an auditor
-Communications: help develop the internal HSSE communication campaigns, create internal alerts/communications and support the creation of the monthly HSE dashboard;
-Policies and procedures: develop and communicate critical policies outlining the group´s expectations and controls for critical risks related with employee and subcontractor safety and wellbeing;
-Follow up and manage indicators on the existing reporting platform – Nexus, ensuring adequate reporting from the operating groups
Le profil recherché
With a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quality Safety Environment Management, you have at least 5 years’ experience in QHSE Management position, in France or abroad.
Fluent in English, you are recognised for your persuasiveness and your ability to have a positive impact on an organisation.
As an inspirational leader, you will need to demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to implement initiatives in a multicultural environment and in a company with a wide range of business sectors. Your creativity and autonomy will be essential to succeed in this role and communicate the Group’s strategic direction.
Possibility to work remotely 3 days a week. International travel: 1 week per quarter
Executive status with fixed salary of between €80 and €90k over 13 months + target bonus and profit-sharing,
holidays vouchers, christmas vouchers, subsidised company restaurant and meal vouchers
